It all began at the end of the 19th century, when Paolo Vacchetti started his business as a basket maker.
His creations were relentlessly woven by hand with the help of his entire family, and it was precisely with these hands that he founded a company destined to eagerly engage the generations that followed.
Giuseppe opened the Vacchetti company to the world in 1960 together with his wife Rita, travelling first to Spain and Belgium looking for the finest materials, and then on to Yugoslavia and Eastern Europe to import finished products.

In 1978, Giuseppe Vacchetti's courage and creative vision pushed him to the East. Importing from Asia meant that the company could expand from basket making to furnishing accessories, furniture and garden furniture.
